1682ArticleOldSchool80sThe only one of these I am a fan of is Twas the Night Before Christmas, but I am a big fan of that one. The song "Even a Miracle Needs a Hand" is pure Christmas joy for me. Absolutely love it. I guess I do enjoy Dutch and it is a product of the late great John Hughes. Dec 17, 2014View

1714ArticleOldSchool80sPEZ was definitely the perfect stocking stuffer. So were packs of baseball, football, basketball cards. Always received one of those "books" of Life Savers rolls.Stocking StuffersDec 20, 2014View

1887ArticleOldSchool80sI think you are right on with your comment towards the end: "One of the many reasons why I like RetroDaze is because we are given a chance to share these precious memories and many times, people can relate."The Older KidFeb 05, 2015View
2000ArticleOldSchool80sNever even heard of OK soda before and I am even from the state right next door in Wisconsin. Seems to have made quite an impression on you, though. Love how certain things from our youth can have that kind of long-term impact.Things Are Going To Be OKFeb 16, 2015View
2042ArticleOldSchool80sYes, agreed the show is not what it used to be. I never liked the offensive-for-the-sake-of-being-offensive stuff much to begin with. As I said, I still appreciate a good 80s reference. And you may notice that most of my examples are not from recent years. Thanks for reading!80s Pop Culture References in Family GuyFeb 22, 2015View
2049ArticleOldSchool80sNice article! I fondly remember the Ninja trilogy featuring Sho Kosugi. I think I did an issue on those myself once upon a time. But you are right about Cannon being such a big part of cheesy 80s action flicks. An Ode to Cannon FilmsFeb 24, 2015View
2097ArticleOldSchool80sEnjoyed the list. I like considering a non-traditional Dad like Charles in Charge, but I don't think he or Mr. Arnold would make my top 5. I agree that I would add Mr. Drummond from Diff'rent Strokes. I think you have to consider Jason Seaver from Growing Pains and Tony from Who's the Boss. I would consider Edward Stratton from Silver Spoons as well as the two guys from My Two Dads. How about Mr. Cunningham from Happy Days and Dan Connor from Roseanne? It's hard to leave any of those off of the list.Top 5 TV Dads of the 80'sMar 19, 2015View
