1899 | Article | Vaporman87 | It's sad to see what has happened through the years. It's not something that is unusual though. The internet is full of once promising nostalgia sites that have all but died now. Trust me, I've searched about as thoroughly as any human can for others like us. If any nostalgia sites are thriving now, it's because they are "retrogaming" sites, of which there are like 50,000,000 out there. Few sites replicate what RetroJunk originated. Sydlexia and Plaid Stallions are about as close to RJ as I've found, and even they are different in that the owners are the exclusive article writers. Nostalgia sites are hanging on by a thread. Facebook and social media have become the replacement for sharing memories, albeit in micro form. I think Vertex reached a point where he had a choice... either invest in improving the site for the users, or improving the site for the money it could make. A simple layout with flashy Google Ads would be the perfect place to land potential clickers. The huge mass of content would draw them in, and the ads and layout would handle the rest. My interest in impressing Google is no less than Vertex's, but for different reasons. For me it's simple... the more, the merrier. I just wish Vertex had made the other choice. | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 08, 2015

4980 | Article | jkatz | It's really crazy to think just how big Spongebob got and how long it's been around. I remember a time when it wasn't on Nickelodeon yet, but barely. The early seasons, which did a lot more surreal stuff like have live-action occasionally, are the ones I like most. | My introduction to SpongeBob SquarePants | Jul 20, 2019
1324 | Article | Vaporman87 | It's okay. We like weird as long as it's a cool weird. | Timewarp: Toys R Us 1987 | Sep 24, 2014
1868 | Video | Vaporman87 | It's okay Caps. I've had that same issue before with Pinnacle software. Not always, but once in a while, for whatever reason, it makes the sound off. Not sure what software you're using, but it looks like a similar issue. | Beverly Hills Cop III | Jan 31, 2015
1776 | Article | Vaporman87 | It's not the world, but I brought it to our Facebook page's attention. LOL | Bill & Ted's Excellent Filming Locations Tour | Jan 09, 2015
460 | Video | Vaporman87 | It's not as though he wouldn't have done it that way if the network would have allowed it. That's why I stopped watching Family Guy and such. I got tired of the endless attempts to keep pushing the envelope of taste (or lack thereof). At some point, you need to be FUNNY. Not just crude and unrestrained. | Larry and Steve - What a Cartoon Show | Mar 01, 2013
3541 | Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | It's nice to see these article back up. A good chronicle of the history behind a character from one of Disney's most popular rides. | Disney's Haunted Mansion Hat Box Ghost | Dec 07, 2016
3378 | Article | Vaporman87 | It's nice that you at least managed to get the supporting role you wanted. Too bad more people didn't stick around to watch. But at least it provided for a nice memory. | Acting Selfish | Feb 23, 2016 |
