5581 | Article | onipar | Good stuff! Haha, and great picture. :-p I actually *only* got to go to the mall around Christmas (until we moved from Brooklyn in 1993). Around the holidays my dad would drive us out to the Rockaway Mall, and yeah, all of my memories of the mall at that time were Christmas-related. Malls and Christmas went hand-in-hand until my teens. | Jan 15, 2022
5582 | Article | onipar | Wow, great stuff here! You know, it's funny, but I also dug out my old photos this Christmas to look through. What's awesome about your pictures if that your parents actually had you pose with the gifts. Unfortunately, even though I have TONS of pictures from Christmases past, very few actually show the presents. They're always of right before the presents were opened, or completely obscuring what the presents were. Oh well, awesome article! | Retro Christmas Memories: Reclaimed! | Jan 15, 2022
5583 | Article | onipar | Wow, very comprehensive article, good stuff. I really didn't watch much Scooby Doo, even as a kid. One of these days I'll maybe go back and watch some. | 5 Times Scooby-Doo Met Real Monsters | Jan 15, 2022
5584 | Article | onipar | To this day, I still regret on missing over a decade of gaming. I don't know exactly why, but some time after the Genesis/Super Nintendo era (around 1995-ish?), I lost interest in video games. I'd still play my old ones now and then, but mostly I was out doing other stuff. I completely missed the N64, PlayStation, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 lifecycles (except for a small amount of time with Crash Team Racing in college). After college I lived with roommates who owned an Xbox, which is what got me back into the gaming life, but it still wasn't until a few years later when I finally bought my first system since the Genesis: The PS3. | Super Smash Bros. 5587 | Article | onipar | @ben, I hear ya. I think when I wasn't using games to cope, it was music, art, and reading. But I also used/use video games the same way. | Super Smash Bros. Melee: Star Studded Sequel | Jan 15, 2022
5593 | Article | onipar | I've never been a big RPG fan, which is probably why I haven't played this game yet (despite owning a copy), but I do definitely plan to play and your article has encouraged me to do so sooner than I planned. 5594 | Article | onipar | Huh, Robo Force. Go figure. :-p Yeah, it's always nice to have some cheaper options for collectibles, although so often even the newer versions end up being highly sought after due to production limits and scalpers. A never ending cycle. | Remembering The Omega Virus | Jan 22, 2022
5595 | Article | onipar | Yeah, hot soda is just such a foreign concept to me, but felt appropriate for this article. I checked out the books you mentioned on Amazon, and they look like good picks! I may have to check them out when time allows. Thanks for the recommendations. | Surviving the Long, Cold Winter Part II: Further Fortifications | Jan 22, 2022
5621 | Article | onipar | As a society, we always seem to be looking backward as much as we look forward. I can't complain. It's important to remember what has come before. I'm with Vapor on this one: I love when these things spill into the physical. I still have my retro BK cup from the Stranger Things release a couple summers back. And the rerelease of New Coke. That's all fun stuff. | What's Old is New Again:Retro Branding Comebacks | Mar 24, 2022
5658 | Article | onipar | Great article as always, Ben! Man, I love Sonic. I really only ever played the first three games on the original genesis, but it was Sonic that sold me and abandoning Nintendo for Sega back in the day. You planning on picking up the Sonic Origins game? | Why I Love Classic Sonic | Jul 24, 2022 |
