5529Articleonipar@Vaporman, Never been to a Hills, sounds perfect! @Beb, thanks! HA, yeah, the smell of a drugstore was pretty unique. Yeah, there was just something special about the smaller drugstores and the type of stuff they'd carry. Around Christmas too.  Oct 18, 2021View
5530Articleonipar@Ben, oh yeah, this was circa 1992-1993 when I had the bus pass. I was 12-13, right before I moved to PA. I actually still have the bus passes in my old wallet from those years, because yeah...I save everything. :-pThe Mystery of the Second NeighborhoodOct 18, 2021View
5531ArticleoniparNice article! Don't know how I missed this one. I had the NES and then the Genesis too. Were always late adopters, so by time I was choosing, it was between the Genesis and the SNES. For whatever reason, the Genesis really captured my attention and that was the one I begged for, finally getting it as a graduation present from elementary school. I never did own my own SNES as a kid (got one as an adult when I started collecting), but my neighbor had one, so I got to experience a little of the main games at least. 5535ArticleoniparWonderful article. My area is very much like this as well. I'm actually planning on going out to "the mountain" tomorrow morning with a cup of coffee to enjoy the leaves, weather, and solitude. Echos of the past: A Northern AutumnOct 23, 2021View
5544ArticleoniparThanks, Ben! I still have a soft spot for The Lawnmower Man. Not sure I ever saw the director's cut, and I *definitely* didn't know there was a video game! Gotta check that out. One Last ScareNov 11, 2021View
5545ArticleoniparWell, this is THREE YEARS late, but thanks, Pannoni! I'll have to go find your YouTube channel. Hope you're still uploading!VHS Television Treasure HuntNov 11, 2021View
5546ArticleoniparI'd love to see that complete Garfield game! I have never even played the original release, which I am about to rectify. A new Altered Beast would be cool too. I've been doing sort of the opposite, where I'm playing newly released 8-bit and 16-bit games. The one I'm playing now is called Odallus: The Dark Call (2015). 5554ArticleoniparI've never actually played this one, and really only first heard about it maybe a few years back (and then totally forgot it exists). I have a copy on my retro handheld, but I'd love to get a real cart of it. I haven't checked yet, but I suspect they are expensive. Nice article, thanks for the reminder about this gem. 5579ArticleoniparNice story, loved it! You know, interestingly, I never went to a skating rink, and only in my adult years did I even realize roller skating was "a thing" in the 80s. But I can totally relate to the arcade savior, because I'd always gravitate to the arcade selection at my local bowling alley.Skating Through The YearsJan 15, 2022View
5580ArticleoniparWow, some interesting picks! Yeah, I never saw either of these. Might have to pop them on my list for next year. TDitH's Non-traditional Christmas Movies 2: Going JapaneseJan 15, 2022View
