3518ArticleOldSchool80sI liked those Timothy Zahn books very much. I thought they did the best job of continuing the story in a style similar to the originals.Star Wars: The Past AwakensApr 17, 2016View
1347ArticlepikachuloverI liked to play with the vending machine slime you could get for a quarter. I like silly putty too. When I was like 8 I made my own slime out of dried up playdoh and water. I was trying to revive it, but I made slime instead. I used to use it as baby food for my dolls and "food" in my play dishes. Some of the dishes are stained from the slime I made. Nickelodeon Floam was awful! It made a mess everywhere! Zand was better. Slime Time!Sep 30, 2014View
3480Articleechidna64I liked VR Troopers but the rest were pretty bad. Power Rangers essentially became a rip-off of itself with all of the ill-conceived reboots, I can't believe it is still going strong on tv!Mighty Morphin Ripoff Rangers Part 2Mar 23, 2016View
1379ArticleVaporman87I live in a house but it is so out of the way that few people would enjoy much of anything I did to it for Halloween. With Christmas, lights can always get a person's attention. But Halloween is typically all about darkness, so it's hard to get attention from way off for it.Flannel CornucopiaOct 05, 2014View
5565ArticlesquidbeeI live in an area that saw an explosion of malls during the 80s and 90s. Recent years have seen many of them closing down, being bought out, or demolished. My mall was one that was bought out, and from what I hear, it is still not doing very well. I last visited prior to the buy-out, and there were cellphone repair kiosks and cheap clothing stores everywhere. The anchor stores were either all gone or in the process of running a clearance sale.Skating Through The YearsDec 07, 2021View
3235ArticlemassrealityI live in the land of tobacco (North Carolina), and man things have changed. Growing up, there wasn't a family member that didn't smoke. Now, just a handful remain faithful smokers. For the most part, in all urban areas, smoking is banned (I think state law is 30 feet from the door of a restaurant) and bars had to turned into "clubs" to still allow smoking which was too much trouble. So, with exception of a few gas stations here and there out in the rural areas, smoking has disappeared at least out in public. The bans and regulations have hurt the economy, luckily North Carolina began refocusing its economy back in the 90's toward technology, so it hasn't completely devastated the state. It is cool that many of the old tobacco factories and warehouses still exist. They even turned the old Lucky Strike factory into a huge fancy night spot right next to the Durham Bulls baseball park called the American Tobacco Historic District.Smoking In the 80'sDec 21, 2015View

3809ArticleLazloI love '60s music!! As an '80s kid, while I loved my own era's music, I also often found myself nostalgic for the particular style and creativity of the '60s. And I wasn't alone, because '60s nostalgia was very big back then. About a year ago, I got to see Peter Noone, of Herman's Hermits performing at Epcot in Orlando, Florida, and he will be performing there soon again. Great concert!Salute to the '60sMar 29, 2017View
