2351ArticleoniparThanks for the comments! Yeah, the video store was right across the street from my apartment, and they had arcades AND a Slush Puppy machine, so it was one of our go-to hangouts. The best thing about being young: everything was an adventure. And yeah, it was a truly messed up movie to watch at that young age.  Jul 05, 2015View
2364ArticleoniparThat's a really good point, Vaporman, and I totally agree. In fact, my favorite subgenre of horror is "campy," and I have no doubt it was due to all the great 80's horror movies I used to watch as a kid. Pure camp, b-movie glory. God I love that stuff. I may have to start doing some 80's horror movie review/articles to post here. Retro-graphic Evidence: Horror in the 80sJul 08, 2015View
2367ArticleoniparYeah, the wait was killer. Probably partly why I entered so many things. I won quite a few contests back in the day. I won a Wolverine figure through the Fox Kid's Club, and a grand prize from Nickelodeon. I actually still have those prizes too. Perhaps the topic of a future article? :-)Retro-graphic Evidence: Xardion Lives!Jul 08, 2015View
2368ArticleoniparWhoa, that Secret of Mana with the original box is a sweet score! I've yet to find *any* boxed NES or SNES game, let alone a coveted one like that. Great article, cheers!Retro ThriftingJul 08, 2015View
2372ArticleoniparThanks, Hoju! I agree, and I still enter as many as many as I can. It's too much fun not to. Ah, cool shirt! I only have a few left from my childhood.Retro-graphic Evidence: Xardion Lives!Jul 10, 2015View

2399ArticleoniparThanks for reading! I have to dig out some more old photos and try to keep this series going. Yeah, it's all about not letting others dictate how we live. Gamegear to pass the time is perfect! :-) Those looks you were getting: envy. :-)Retro-graphic Evidence: Video Games are Cool!Jul 14, 2015View
2473ArticleoniparGood review! I've only recently purchased a Gamecube, and while I've enjoyed some games, I have to say, the inability to change the inverted axis for games like this one and Luigi's Mansion ruins the games for me. It's my own damn fault for not being able to adapt, but I just can't seem to get the hang of it, and so end up having to stop playing those games. Which of course is the pits.Article Classic: Super Mario Sunshine ReviewAug 06, 2015View
2486ArticleoniparOh yeah, those winter gloves! I loved hypercolor AND the gloves. It was brilliant. I think I was still young enough that sweaty pits didn't bother me much :-)Do You Remember: HyperColor ShirtsAug 07, 2015View
2493ArticleoniparSo glad you enjoyed this! I've been wanting to write some stories about childhood events in Brooklyn, and I was excited to have a bit of motivation to finally do so. A Flurry of Hadoukens and ShoryukensAug 10, 2015View
