1814ArticleVaporman87Man, something seemed so familiar about that Jenny Lewis, but after doing a Google search on her, she was not in any films that I ever really gave much attention to. She must have "one of those faces". Anyhow, I missed out on Out of this World (never watched an entire episode if memory serves). It seems like something I would have been interested in back in the day. Just for whatever reason, I never gave it a chance. I think the commercials that crack me up the most are the ones that have big time celebrities in them. Like Brad Pitt. Funny seeing these high profile celebs just starting out by doing the commercial circuit.  Jan 19, 2015View
3734ArticlevkimoMan, somehow I missed this article the first time. Awesome synopsis of a truly epic weekend. I drove home that night smiling the whole time, you guys were such a great crew, it really surpassed all expectations. Again, another much needed thank you to Vapor for making it happen!RetroDaze Invades RetroCon 2016Feb 12, 2017View
5279ArticleVaporman87Man, McDonald's really used to know how to market Halloween to its fullest back in the day. Nowadays they barely do anything.Retro Halloween: Mcdonald's Halloween ToysSep 23, 2020View
1909ArticleRuespielerMan, it hurt reading this. Great job on the early pics, have no idea where you dug those up. I enjoyed your reminiscing of the forums, and learned a thing or two about how they operated. As you know I rarely hung out there (except for that whole 10 article disaster when I learned the hard way what the difference was between a thread and a post lol). Debris... The Al Franken of RJ. Knites will be furious that you didn't mention the fact that is was his article, 'On Writing', that turned the site around and officially began RJ's golden age. We need to find DalmationLover and bring him here! Celeste too! I had been looking forward to reading this, sorry it wont make it to RJ. You didn't disappoint. I thought you took it pretty easy on ol' Vertex. Easier than I did... Thanks for the nod, it was great those times when we'd nit pick formatting issues, even on two different continents! Technically, I was the 3 time all time article champion if you include the time when, soon after the "upgrade", there was a glitch in the article thumb voting mechanism that allowed me to vote mine and Celeste's articles all the way to the top of the heap. Celeste's 'Animation to Live Action 2' still stands as the only article to break 1000 thumbs, both positive and negative. Nice read, mang. When's that contest starting?!?! 2170ArticlevkimoMan, I wish I had some friends to play a game like that with. What I find most amazing is the game had all the pieces! I recently came across a card game from 1981 called "Weather Slam" that I had to have. It was sealed and only cost a few dollars. I brought it back home and cracked it open to play with my wife. The cards looked like some kid was given a crayon and paid in marbles to illustrate the cards. Nice find though, that VHS video is awesome too.The Dragon MasterMar 28, 2015View
3397ArticlemassrealityMan, I totally forgot about cross sections! I loved browsing through them. I was also a big fan of the Choose Your Own Adventure. I'd usually get irritated and quit when things didn't got the way I wanted them to. The Library Feb 28, 2016View
963ArticlevkimoMan, I totally forgot about building forts! Couch forts were also a big staple of rainy days. My brother and I would take all the large couch cushions and drape sheets over them and bring all our toys in. Remembering Rainy DaysJan 30, 2014View

5008ArticleBenjanimeman, i remember being such an avid nickelodeon viewer back in the day that the disney afternoon just flew right past me. i still watched their cartoons but i had no recollection of that block whatsoever. dbz was probably toonami's biggest hit on their block for a while until they really got off the ground in the 2000s with a ton of more anime. i'm a little upset that the toonami brand has been reduced to a late night schedule, but as long as i'm still hearing steve blum as tom, i'm somewhat happy :)13 Things that I remembered from my childhoodAug 15, 2019View
