4794 | Article | Ravenloft | My brother forgot to mention what we did while we were grieviously injured from the car tow dumb idea: sprained ankle for my brother, broken collarbone for my friend, and complete coverage severely bleeding road rash on my back, we sat on the floor to avoid blood on the couch and played nintendo while waiting for his mom to get home to take us to the hospital. Our mom didn't get off work for several more hours. We didn't call anybody, first of all cell phones were unknown to us then in those days and car phones were only for rich people and calling your parents at work was never done by kids voluntarily anyways unless mandatory such as when you got home from school. We could have knocked on a neighbors door to find a responsible adult or even called 911, but nope it never even entered our minds to seek help. We just play NES and waited while I ruined a blood soaked towel from my friends closet and we silently (except for the occasional groan or sniffle) played video games. | Skate or Die Generation | Jan 14, 2019
5012 | Article | echidna64 | My brother bought a Sega Nomad a couple years ago and it is awesome because you can play regular Genesis games. It is a brick tho lol | Remembering the Sega Game Gear | Aug 16, 2019
1642 | Article | NLogan | My brother and I walked four miles to a Shopko to see the new Batman figures and Batcave. To me as a 12 year old kid it seemed like an epic journey. Not sure why we didn't ride our bikes. | Batman '89 Remembered | Dec 15, 2014
3408 | Article | Vaporman87 | My brother and I owned an Atari Jaguar. I can tell you it was easily the worst of the consoles saturating the market at that time. There was the occasional decent game for it, but it just didn't stand a chance. You can't make developing for a console a difficult task. As you mentioned, that alone killed the Jaguar before it could even get off the ground. | Encountering The Jaguar | Feb 29, 2016
51 | Video | Vaporman87 | My brother and I LOVED Toe Jam and Earl. In fact, we played through to level 17 just this past Thanksgiving 2012. It was still as fun now as then. | Toe Jam & Earl Commercial | Dec 12, 2012
26 | Video | Vaporman87 | My Brother and I loved COPS for short time. We ended up bored with it before we ever really had any of the toys. | COPS Intro | Dec 10, 2012
1358 | Article | vkimo | My brother and I had a strict rule where we took turns renting games. And on the car ride home whoever got to the TV first and turned on the TV had control of the game. I wish I could remember the last game we ever rented. It was definitely for the N64 though. My dad was a simple man when it came to movie rentals. It had to have fire on the cover. He usually picked out Steven Segals latest flick. My mom trying to instill culture into her heathenish offspring would get obscure documentaries or Oscar ladden titles that usually ended up with everyone asleep, her included. | Timewarp: Blockbuster Video 1996 | Oct 02, 2014 |
