224 | Article | raptor | I had a cousin who owned Bayou Billy and I traded him straight up for my copy of Bionic Commando only to stick the thing in and discover it would not work. Like, 20 some years later and he still owes me a working game, the chump. Another good list of games man. Good article. | Jan 28, 2013
3963 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I had a feeling this would hit close to home for a lot of us. My story is far from unique as there are many great "Divorced Dads" out there. My Dad just happens to be the best ;) @Vaporman87 It's awesome that you got a new brother you liked out of the divorce. Is he the one in that hilarious video series of you trying to assassinate your younger brother and vice versa? @RickAceRhodes That is the dream of so many kids of divorced parents, what a story. @NLogan Your Dad story of video store drama is one of my favorites an his quote is such a "Dadism". Apparently Tarantula has one money pose and he's sticking with it. | Divorced Dad Memories | Jun 22, 2017
1377 | Article | Fulton4V | I had a few costumes like those when I was a child. I still have two of them but one is missing the mask. Really nice collection of things from your childhood. I wish I kept more of my own. Your really good at makeup for Halloween. I like the skeleton face the most of all. | NLogan's Retro Halloween Overload | Oct 05, 2014
304 | Article | Vaporman87 | I had a few of the Iron Man line from Toy Biz in the mid 90's, though they were the 10" scale figures. I believe one was called "Steel Tech Iron Man" and the armor was a slightly different design than that which he wore at that time. I can't agree more with the idea that variants water down a line with poorly designed or executed products. It's discouraging at times. The 200X MOTU line suffered from this. Just google "Disco Skeletor" and you'll see what I mean. Ugh. | The Curse of the Variant | Feb 12, 2013
71 | Video | Fulton4V | I had a few of the toys. I was a pretty big fan of the show also. | Centurions Intro | Dec 17, 2012
4623 | Article | fuschnikt | I had a Lion-O dress up kit. It came with the weirdest mask with hair molded into the plastic. I dug it. | 80's Toy Dress-Up Kits | Oct 11, 2018
2776 | Article | massreality | I had a Michelangelo and Batman costume like that. I agree with Vaporman, those masks were hot and very uncomfortable. I also remember how thin the vinyl was. I'm pretty sure I ripped one of my costumes before he end of the night. | Halloween Night In The 80's | Oct 05, 2015
3967 | Article | OldSchool80s | I had a similar experience and similar memories of seeing E.T. for the first time. It left quite an impression on me, too. It will always hold a special place for me and still holds up for me in a lot of ways, too. It is one of the iconic films of the decade and of my lifetime in my opinion. | Seeing E.T. For The First Time | Jun 22, 2017
1858 | Article | echidna64 | I had a similar experience when my parents bought the movie Excalibur for me because I was into medieval times and mythology, BOY was I surprised after the first ten minutes of the movie! | Movie Misunderstandings | Jan 30, 2015
3564 | Article | mickyarber | I had a very similar experience (without the divorce) when I got my Super Nintendo for Christmas one year. I begged for it for months, and on Christmas morning, I opened an SNES game first. My parents played it off, saying it was a mistake and it was for my brother. (He already had and SNES since he was working). But at the end of the morning, there was the SNES in the last package. I seem to recall having a very similar, if not the exact same, remote controlled fighter jet once upon a time too. But good read, and you really triggered some old memories for me. | A Very Sega Christmas | Dec 12, 2016 |
