3726 | Article | mickyarber | Great article, and great list of names. There are more great ones who never won one CM Punk and guys who never even appeared in one like Sting. Ive got an article coming on the Rumbles history as well. | Feb 06, 2017
3777 | Article | mickyarber | Charleston candy had ads in comic books for years. I have some books from the 60's that have ads in them for Charleston. And I have books from the 70's, 80's, and 90's that also have them in them. They must have gotten great returns on the investment or they wouldn't have promoted in comic books for over 30 years. Fun article. You know I love food stuff AND comic book ads, so this tickled my sweet spot. | Marvel Comics Food Ads of the 90's | Feb 24, 2017
3792 | Article | mickyarber | @Hoju I was a fan of Kyle Rayner too. When he took over in GL #51, I started picking the book up every month up through the last 60's issues. Whichever issues it was that Hal came back and fought Kyle in the 2 part story in those later issues. | The Beginning of My Comic Fandom | Mar 22, 2017
3855 | Article | mickyarber | Through working at a grocery store throughout the 90's,I remember just about all of this stuff. The McDonald's toys are foreign to me, but the rest I have at least a recollection of. The Spiderman pasta always sold really well. Keep the old advertising, especially the food advertising, coming. | Spider-Man Food Ads of the 90's | Apr 24, 2017
3856 | Article | mickyarber | I'm always amazed at how mine and your childhoods mirrored each other's. Most of this is the same fears that were drilled into us in school here in Virginia. Except maybe the street gangs. I always felt the same about NYC. Through depictions on television and in movies, it always seemed dirty and violent. Then I went there for the first time and thought, "this ain't bad, hell, it's pretty cool!" | Retro Culture of Fear | Apr 24, 2017
3917 | Article | mickyarber | I have recollection of any of these. Regardless, this was a good read. | Attack of the “Saved by the Bell” Clones | Jun 07, 2017
3961 | Article | mickyarber | Of course I had the GI Joe lunch box, and I remember the mad scientist line of toys. My cousin Stevie had them, and like so many of his toys, the rest of us weren't allowed to touch them. I still need to get around to writing that "Stevie the Tyrant" article. Great read as always my friend. | Antique Store Finds: Reborn | Jun 22, 2017

4034 | Article | mickyarber | Fantastic article man. Sadly, all of my relatives cleaned out all their "junk" years ago. And on another subject, PM me your address and I'll send you a couple of packs of those old Topps cards, unopened, so you can enjoy that smell of the gum one more time! | Raiders of the Lost Toys | Jul 31, 2017 |
