3714ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 Secret's out, it's the Ladies Pants section of Goodwill. I assume that's where David Lee Roth and the guys from Poison did their shopping as well. Jan 30, 2017View

3734ArticlevkimoMan, somehow I missed this article the first time. Awesome synopsis of a truly epic weekend. I drove home that night smiling the whole time, you guys were such a great crew, it really surpassed all expectations. Again, another much needed thank you to Vapor for making it happen!RetroDaze Invades RetroCon 2016Feb 12, 2017View
3695ArticleVaporman87I love Dr. Timewarp articles, and this one was expertly done. Glad to see it make it back to the site after the "crash". Nobody can keep the good doctor down!Dr. Timewarp Returns: 80's Drug Store ShoppingJan 21, 2017View
3711Articlejkatz@Vapor I like to think of the crash as a continuity-erasing "Crisis"...and looks like Dr. T is now part of the canon again!Dr. Timewarp Returns: 80's Drug Store ShoppingJan 30, 2017View
3728ArticlemassrealityDrug stores were so much cooler back in the day. I don't think I've ever been in one with an ice cream counter though. On a side note: I just realized they stop selling hose in those little eggs like a year ago. My grandma would always give my brother and me the eggs to play with once she took the hose out. I got to wondering if kids still played with the eggs and then I discovered they don't sell them like that anymore!Dr. Timewarp Returns: 80's Drug Store ShoppingFeb 10, 2017View
3764ArticleLazloMy first job in high school was as a cashier/stockperson at Eckerd Drugs. This was back in 1986. Eckerds has since been taken over by CVS, so it too is a relic of an earlier era (before working there, I remember going there with my family as a very young kid in the '70s). Those were the days. I do remember ringing up candy, cosmetics, cigarettes, meds of different sorts. One thing we didn't have was an ice cream counter though . . . interesting cylindrical look to that ice cream scoop!! 3696ArticlejkatzI still think of antiques as "Great-Grandma Ethel's music box". Seeing stuff from 89 being considered antiques bothers me, but I can totally get why lol. Awesome Antique Store FindsJan 22, 2017View
