3808 | Article | Vaporman87 | So much Dick Tracy goodness here, it makes me want to listen to the Read-Along Story in our Read-Along section. | Mar 29, 2017
3914 | Article | fuschnikt | I remember trying so hard to draw that first shadowy image. It was not very good. I also remember owning two figures. After crushing hundreds upon hundreds of cans with my dad, he gave me a cut of the recycling proceeds in the form of Dick Tracy. I would later get The Tramp, because I liked that he came with a knife and a plank. I often chose my figures based on the accessories. Man..now I really want to rip open some Tracy wax packs. | Antique Store Finds: Dick Tracy Memorabilia | May 31, 2017
3822 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I was definitely "non-partisan" when it came to Matchbox vs Hot Wheels. If it looked cool, I wanted it. Mostly I wanted any Pontiac Firebird replicas that I could use as KITT from Knight Rider. Also, when I managed a Kay-Bee Toys in he early 2000's, die cast cars were the most shoplifted items. I always found empty packages at the end of the day hidden behind other toys. | 5 Fun Matchbox Toys | Apr 04, 2017
4266 | Article | DirtyD79 | Hot Wheels and Matchbox were some of my favorite toys as a kid. We had the Hotwheels sto n' go city as well as the construction site. I didn't really have much of a preference for one brand over the other, I pretty much only really cared about what looked cool. | 5 Fun Matchbox Toys | Jan 04, 2018
3778 | Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | Cool article fuschnikt. Personally I go for a little bit of both in my collection of old toys: toys that I owned and toys that I wanted but never had. It's nice to see that you have a nostalgic story for everything you own. | Toys In The Basement | Mar 03, 2017
3779 | Article | I enter for curiosity since i have no basement but i was shocked when i started to read about Migthy Max. That Snake set was my very first MM set and i later got the rest and i ended selling them when i needed money, but i still have the Snake one. That one was the first and is filled with good memories when i was 7 and is amazing how something soo small and simplsitic bringed me soo much happynes. And your Max outfit in the end was the best part!! | Toys In The Basement | Mar 06, 2017
3811 | Article | pikachulover | I definitely remember the Hi-c promotion. I used to have a bunch of the profiles cut out of the drink boxes. I few years later I threw them out because I thought the X-Men was childish or something. I think I have the hero caps some where. I remember getting a Rogue one. I think I had to convince my parents to get me that particular size packaging of Hi-C. They would usually get me the 3 packs to take in my lunch. I was already a regular drinker of Hi-C. | 90's X-Men Food Ads | Mar 30, 2017
3812 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @pikachulover Hey, good to hear from you, it's been a while. Glad to know someone else enjoyed the fun of the Hi-C promotion. I totally forgot about the character profiles. If my purchase hadn't been a one time deal to get the Hero Caps, I'm sure I would still be hanging on to those cut out cards. | 90's X-Men Food Ads | Mar 31, 2017
3796 | Article | OldSchool80s | Nice article, Lazlo. I have never really been a big fan of Pink Floyd, but I totally understand what you are talking about. | Still Rock and Roll To Me | Mar 23, 2017
3805 | Article | Lazlo | Thanks, OldSchool80s. Its really all about Rock, and it could have been about U2, or Led Zeppelin, or the Police, or the Talking Heads, or the Rolling Stones, or the Beatles. It was (and still is) a great form of music, and the Rock era was a great time to be young. | Still Rock and Roll To Me | Mar 29, 2017 |
