| Article | Hoju Koolander | I think you made the right choice with "The Night Santa Went Crazy". "Christmas at Ground Zero" is less relevant since the Cold War ended. | Dec 17, 2014

| Article | MissM | @vaporman, thank you. Now that this is my first Christmas divorced, I have been thinking a lot about past Christmases and this was something that just came to my mind. I think my cousins and I started out so close because our parents were all close. But as we got older we all sort of drifted apart and that was really hard. But I am a huge proponent of family no matter if it is large or small, so Christmas always brings that out the most. I am really glad you have your family and friends Vaporman, that is awesome! I hope you have a fantastic Christmas. @HojuKoolander, Nintendo really does bind generations! We would get my grandmother to play Duck Hunt. She wouldn't play anything else, but for some reason she loved that game. I just remember thinking that was the craziest thing ever. I didn't have a lot of Snes games either, but the ones I did own were very memorable. Now I feel like playing some Starfox. I forgot how fun that game was. I hope you have a nice Christmas! | How Mario Saved Christmas... and Other Super Nintendo Tales | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | BarryBgb | I love that you put a Weird Al Christmas song on there. I love both of them. "12 Pains Of Christmas" too. I'm not familiar with the others though. | My list of Holiday songs | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | NLogan | My mom always included an orange with the candy. The picture of the mixed nuts looks like it came directly from my house with the exact nutcracker we had. Chocolate oranges and raspberry chocolate sticks are still a feature of my stockings and have been for years. We usually got coloring books, card games, and small toys included. | Stocking Stuffers | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | vkimo | Wowzers. I'd trade all my cumulative Christmases for just one of yours. I can't believe the loot! The fact you still have most of it is pretty amazing in it's own right. I guess one of the bonuses as you stated of having split parents, is you pretty much double up on gifts. I see everything that made the 80s toy generation so great in these pictures. | NLogan's Retro Christmas | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | Hoju Koolander | @NLogan Mmmm, chocolate oranges were a treat. I think those nutcrackers were pretty widely purchased from the 40s-80s, but it seems like a tradition that may have already faded away for our generation. I'll have to keep count this year on how many I see in friend's homes. | Stocking Stuffers | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | Hoju Koolander | Glad to see you got to analyze your own Christmas photos, very impressive. The picture of you "bowing" your brother is pretty much the cutest thing ever (yeah, guys can say cute!). You got a lot of great gifts over the years, but I have to say I'm most impressed that Santa had super hero coloring books to give out instead of candy canes, that's my kinda Santa! Also, are the girls on either side of Santa supposed to be elves or Nuns? | NLogan's Retro Christmas | Dec 18, 2014
| Article | pikachulover | I got the oranges too. I used to get art supplies like pens or markers when I was a little older. I remember one year I got some Dream Bears. They were like Care Bear knockoff figures made by Remco. They even had their own clothing sets sold separately of course. One year I got a few Sylvanian Families figures in the stocking. | Stocking Stuffers | Dec 18, 2014 |
