4157ArticleThatDudeintheHoodieIt must have been VERY recent Vapor, because I got the information from articles mere months ago.  Sep 24, 2017View
4158ArticleVaporman87@TDitH: It was. It was this Summer actually. Last time I ordered a pizza there I did so through the drive-thru. Big mistake. LOL. 30 minutes later I still didn't have a pizza, so I just left. You definitely needed to order ahead toward the end there.Retro Fast Food That is No MoreSep 24, 2017View
4184ArticleDirtyD79In the early 2000s Burger King also had chili. I liked it better than Wendy's chili, unfortunately BK ended up dropping it from their line-up some time ago. Retro Fast Food That is No MoreOct 29, 2017View
3992ArticleVaporman87Another freaking sweet toy hunt for Hoju. I would have been thoroughly enjoying the old McD's Happy Meal finds. I need to have more relatives/friends who would let me look through all their old stuff. Maybe I can pay somebody to let me do it. Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
4002ArticleOldSchool80sWhat a fun treasure hunt. It is so amazing how something so small or seemingly insignificant can cause nostalgia to come flooding in. To me it can be just a certain smell and I am taken back in an instant. That's what it is all about for me, the feelings of intense nostalgia that those lovely things can bring me.Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
4005ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s Yeah, smells are big. The sweet scent of the gum that used to come with Topps trading cards always takes me back. @Vaporman87 Seriously. I'm thinking of making friends with all the senior citizens I know, just so I can rummage around their basements.Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
4034ArticlemickyarberFantastic article man. Sadly, all of my relatives cleaned out all their "junk" years ago. And on another subject, PM me your address and I'll send you a couple of packs of those old Topps cards, unopened, so you can enjoy that smell of the gum one more time!Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 31, 2017View
3991ArticleVaporman87I'm pretty sure you've had the most retro-privileged life of any person on Earth. A person could make 10 childhoods out your one. But as far as both TRU and Kaybee (or KB) are concerned, I was more of a KB kid. I think because we didn't really have a Toys 'R Us nearby for most of my childhood. However, there was a Kaybee Toys in the nearest mall for a long time. Later I came to appreciate KB for their well worn stock. It became a hunting ground for me in the late '90s when the new Godzilla movie was soon to arrive, and the King of the Monsters and Godzilla Wars Trendmasters toys could still be found on the occasional KB shelf. I was fetching good money for those on Ebay, while bolstering my own collection (man, I've been a member of Ebay for almost 20 years. That's insane). Toy Store DreamsJul 22, 2017View
4000ArticleNLoganLive Spider-Man for the win. Toys R Us was my favorite but the chance at some older stock still hanging on the shelves or in the discount bin by the doors kept me coming back to Kay Bee.Toy Store DreamsJul 22, 2017View
4004ArticleHoju Koolander@NLogan KB was a way to shop for "retro" toys, but after just a few years of the line's release. @Vaporman87 My complete disregard for conventional employment led to many adventures, that's for sure KB was a discount heaven for those of us who had less mainstream taste. For example, all The Shadow figures found nowadays have a KB Toys price tag on them. Author's Note: I mistakenly called Captain Liberty from The Tick "Liberty Lass" in the article. I got her mixed up with a fictional heroine from Mark Hammil's mockumentary Comic Book The Movie. My bad.Toy Store DreamsJul 22, 2017View
