3479 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I was just telling my wife about Superman Peanut Butter last week. It was always a request of mine at the supermarket, but I usually had to settle for Peter Pan brand as my fictional character tie-in condiment. I can't believe I missed the Super-hero burger, but if it was only around for a month, i guess that explains it. | Mar 23, 2016
3483 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87 Yeah, they stacked those other shows with so many goofy characters, it's almost like they thought kids were tuning in to see Bulk and Skull every week (I secretly kinda was). @pikachulover That's cool that you have VR Troopers connection. It would have been very strange to see "Tommy" heading up another show, but it would definitely made VR Troopers more watchable. @echidna64 Though I only watched the later series sporadically over the years, I think Power Rangers actually got a little cooler with the later versions like Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and SPD. Putting them in space just made more sense. | Mighty Morphin Ripoff Rangers Part 2 | Mar 24, 2016
3484 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87 My wife is totally requesting that I test our PrankDial on her. it sounds so sophisticated. @pikachulover that's pretty hilarious. Celebrity based prank calls are a whole different category. Tricking little kids into thinking their favorite hero is calling could be cruel or cool. @echidna64 Yeah, dating calls on the phone were tricky. If you were trying to avoid someone, there wasn't much you could do to prevent it and if you wanted the call there was little to be done about siblings getting to the phone first and embarrassing you. | Old School Phones: Mystery Callers | Mar 24, 2016
3485 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @massreality You had the same dilemma? That's comforting and disturbing for both of us. I never thought of the "sophisticated" toy angle, but you're right, it would have been a completely mature purchase to make. It wasn't like it was a Polly Pocket, that's kid's stuff. | Childhood Embarrassment 9021-D'oh! | Mar 24, 2016
3504 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Stick Sticky made my 90's summers memorable as well. I always wanted the spinner to land on Salute Your Shorts. | Long Lost 90s: Nick in the Afternoon | Apr 07, 2016
3512 | Article | Hoju Koolander | There actually seemed to be quite a bit of consistency between this comics interpretation, the cartoon pilot and the toy makers on this one, which was pretty impressive. The toys themselves were just too similar, unlike MOTU that had such varied character designs. | Action Figure Comics Review - Visionaries | Apr 11, 2016
3527 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Call Karate Man Man's agent to book him for the Halloween special ;) | The Legend of Karate Man-Man | Apr 27, 2016
3536 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @Vaporman87 I'm not say wood isn't useful, just that it's not technically an element. I made some awesome Pinewood Derbyshire cars back in my cub scout days. @Rick Ace Rhodes You forgot the obvious conclusion to your story, "Then I bought them all and it made my life complete." I feel like Battle Beasts are timeless. Any generation can enjoy warrior animals big enough to hide in your desk at school or office cubicle. | Action Figure Comics Review: Battle Beasts | Apr 30, 2016
3549 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I totally missed that photo of you as The Hatbox Ghost during my original read through, you continue to impress. How many people recognized the character? | Disney's Haunted Mansion Hat Box Ghost | Dec 10, 2016
3573 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Another great Christmas tale. The disappointment your little brother experienced is heartbreaking, but it's great that he had a sibling who understood him. It's crazy to think of that limbo period of no readily available Star Wars toys. I feel a special connection to this story since Yoda was my nickname as an infant and as a result I had quite a few items of Yoda merchandise growing up. I would have gladly donated some to your brother had I known you guys back in the day. | Christmas Conundrum | Dec 13, 2016 |
