1794ArticleVaporman87@cbf: I can say that I do miss having a Wendy's salad bar, and that ever since the "Where's The Beef" campaign, the size of the burgers has decreased quite a bit. Food quality though, is still high if you ask me. Especially with the introduction of some of their new gourmet buns. Jan 15, 2015View
1795Articlecomic_book_fani mean the burgers are smaller and they raised prices i remember when you could get a single with cheese for like a buck but i guess every fast food burger place has done this but Wendy's do still make the best burger in fast food. My 6th Birthday PartyJan 15, 2015View

1799ArticleVaporman87I received my helping of Disney Afternoon thanks to my younger brother who enjoyed just about every show in it. By the time it began airing, I was in high school and Disney cartoons (outside of the feature films) were not something I actively sought out to watch. However, my brother did. And what he watched, I inevitably found myself watching along with him. Of the many shows and characters, I think I actually enjoyed Duck Tales the most, followed by Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers. Some of the shows that came later, like Gargoyles, would have probably been my preferred show had I not already been graduated and heading to college. I can also say that my favorite intro song from the Afternoon would be the Gummi Bears intro. 1801ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87: My favorite lyric of the Gummi Bears theme is "Magic and mystery are part of their history, along with the secret of Gummi Berry Juice..." Very medieval/sword and sorcery with all those horns blaring. @thecrow174: Excellent point. Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers had some of the best NES games ever, not limiting the discussion to just licensed games. So it's odd that Gummi Bears never go that treatment. 1807ArticlepikachuloverRescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck were my favorites. I even have the lunchboxes for each of those cartoons. I had to beg my parents to take me there. I hadn't been to Disneyland since 1986 when they took me there for my birthday. We went on Columbus Day back when the schools still gave that holiday off. I didn't get autographs, but I did get pictures! I really wanted to see Gadget most of all. I was so happy to meet her. My mom even got into and took a picture next to the Grammi Gummi standup. If I remember correctly the boats had recording of the characters voices. I almost crashed a car in the autopia! Did you get the map the blank spaces that you had go around the area to get it stamped? I had that poster up in my room for years. It got so faded! I forgot what happened to it. My parents also bought me a small plush Chip doll. I was disappointed they didn't have Gadget ones. Do remember that special that KHJ/KCAL showed on Disney Afternoon live? 1810ArticleMr MagicI wonder what made the TaleSpin animators decide to give Kit a backwards ball cap, which is a 90s look, not a 30s/40s look. The Disney Afternoon RevisitedJan 17, 2015View
1812ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover I guess I should have collaborated with you for more personal photographic evidence of the event. At least Gadget got her own ride once Toontown opened, what a tribute! I didn't remember the stamp on the map deal, sounds cool. I definitely was watching The Disney Afternoon on KCAL 9, I think I linked to that special. Was it the one with the Olsen Twins? @Vaporman87 I have found evidence on YouTube that Disney World had a Disney Afternoon stage show at Mickey's Starland, but no mention of the Avenue and ride conversions. @thecrow174 Another great observation. I guess futuristic surfboards aren't very fitting for the timeframe either, but they probably knew they had to give kids someone to identify with, despite looking like he came from a totally different series. The Disney Afternoon RevisitedJan 18, 2015View
