1817ArticleHoju KoolanderWhile I find JP3 to be a far superior film to this one, I really enjoyed your article. I love the fold out from the soundtrack CD, what a great decoration for your party. I remember the same confusion with the toys when the original film came out. The Dino-Damage tear away flesh on the dinosaurs was awesome, but Malcolm and Ellie were the only ones that resembled the actors from the movie. What was with Nedry's turtleneck and sunglasses? Jan 21, 2015View
1820ArticleHoju KoolanderOh the joys of the video arcade birthday and a whole roll of tokens! I bet you did your best to stay in that kid's good graces until the next birthday rolled around. Congrats on the Mortal Kombat victory, however short lived. That's a feat I never managed to accomplish in any fighting game. Did you ever get that Barry Bonds card for your collection, through a trade or something?Aladdin's Castle B-Day Jan 23, 2015View
1833ArticleHoju Koolander@Fulton4V I know what you mean. I have the same sort of relationship with Double Dragon. It's my favorite, but I can never pass the cave level. Still, I always enjoy playing the stages I can pass.Nintendo Discoveries: The Adventures of Bayou BillyJan 25, 2015View
1841ArticleHoju Koolander@pikachulover I loved Today's Special! "Hocus Pocus Alamagocus..." Muffy wasn't quite as memorable to me as Sam the Security Guard or Jeff the Mannequin, but it's awesome that you gave a generic stuffed toy some star power by associating it with the show.Stuffed Animals of the 80'sJan 26, 2015View
1844ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 "The Meowwy Wowwy Show" sounds like it would have had a place right next to Ren and Stimpy in the early 90's. Glad it is being passed on to the next generation. What kind of mischief do Wowwy, Smarts, Halfheart and Buford get into?Stuffed Animals of the 80'sJan 26, 2015View
1860ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 That's sweet, I have wanted to check out Islands of Adventure for years. Hope you have a great trip. @pikachulover During High School I once "danced for candy" at one of the shops in the Citywalk, it was really an awkward attempt at flirting with one of the cute sales girls. I didn't get her number, but I got the candy! @Fulton4V Yeah, BTTF was a great experience, I'm glad they put the videos on the Blu-ray release of the films. Any word on whether The Simpsons ride that replaced it is any good?Universal Studios Hollywood '92Jan 30, 2015View
1862ArticleHoju KoolanderMost people run into those types of "Modeling Schools" at malls from what I hear. It's so weird that the school sanctioned such an obvious cash-grab. Do you remember those TV ads that ran on daytime TV for the Barbizon School of Modeling way back when? They usually came on right after a commercial for Survival auto insurance with the guys playing poker, "Are you insured?" "Yes." "By Survival?" "No." "I can't take that bet." So cheesy, cracks me up.Model StudentJan 30, 2015View
1863ArticleHoju KoolanderFun topic. "Team Wolf" is pretty much the best thing ever, especially because it was your Mom's mislabeling that perpetuated the error. Makes me chuckle in a big way.Movie MisunderstandingsJan 30, 2015View
1881ArticleHoju KoolanderGreat batch of gifts and photos. I totally had a Boglin that I used to flip inside out as well, I think I eventually stretched his arms apart (like into pieces) and that was the end of my creature. I always thought Dino Riders were cool, but not enough to demand one for a birthday for some reason. Also, did you not know what a birthday was or just had no concept of time at that age?Surprise Party! : 1987Feb 03, 2015View
1891ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 That's The Simpsons Sing the Blues, my friend. I have it on CD and Cassette! I often find myself singing "Look At All Those Idiots" or "Deep, Deep Trouble" to this day. You didn't watch The Simpsons? Are you a communist? j/k What were you watching instead?Simpsons Illustrated and 90's Magazine AdsFeb 05, 2015View
