actually scratch that, the cartoon never got cancelled. bucky's home planet gets captured in the beginning, but rescued in the thirteenth episode

That puts me in mind of TMNT, as the comic was a bit darker in tone than most other representations. And perhaps Rocket Racoon or Spider-Ham. lol

believe me, for the past decade i was searching for the longest time for this cartoon as the only thing i remembered about it was bucky's design. unfortunately as i've heard the show got cancelled before a second season due to bucky having a gun. the series is based on a dark comic book by the same name from the mid 80s
